In the context of the Center’s objective to communicate with the different social groups and geographic regions, the course was delivered in the Southern branch of the college in Gaza where the participants were from the southern region. The course is considered the second of its kind in this field in which the first swimming course was conducted several months ago for males.

These courses are part of the agreement signed between the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS), the Palestinian Swimming Federation and Aquatic Sports represented by Dr. Tamer Eshteiwi, including Dr. Mahmoud Adnan Shama who is the Vice President of the Palestinian Federation. Such agreements are important for strengthening cooperation with partners in the community, aiming at providing distinguished services in various fields.

It is worth mentioning that swimming is one of the most important sports in the Gaza Strip, especially as it overlooks the Mediterranean coast. This sport has a history bonded to the Gaza Strip’s population throughout ages. The UCAS strongly believes in the importance of communication with the local community institutions in order to meet the needs of different segments in the Strip with great focus on different fields, as well as sports.
